Aberdeen’s real estate division has been managing money on behalf of third party clients for over thirty years and began its international expansion by opening offices in Europe during the 1980s.
Today, the business has grown to include offices in North America and Asia to support our expanding global business both in terms of investments and client domiciles. This extensive footprint enables us to offer investors our global expertise.
Our direct real estate capability extends back to the 1970s and we now have teams located across a number of key European cities. The direct real estate team has grown to encompass portfolio managers, an international transactions team, specialist asset and property managers teams.
Our multi-manager capability has a long track record of international investment, starting in the UK in 1996, expanding into continental Europe in 2001, in Asia in 2006 and North America in 2010. The team has a history of innovation, from launching one of the first European real estate fund of funds in 2005 to being one of the earliest fund of fund investors in Asia.
