By generating a deeper understanding of the global real estate markets we believe our portfolio managers can make more informed investment decisions in order to potentially benefit investors in our property strategies.
Within the real estate team we have a 8* strong international Research and Investment Strategy team who are located in 5 countries and bring with them a variety of backgrounds including sector and technical specialties. The team undertakes comprehensive market and portfolio analysis, covering both direct and multi-manager real estate.
The team is responsible for formulating and maintaining a central ‘house’ view of historic and forecast market performance, and an analysis of pricing. Building on these views, investment themes (focusing, for example, on the advantages and disadvantages of particular building specifications, property and tenant types or submarkets) are also developed to further guide investment strategy.
The result is an internationally consistent set of country, sector and local market forecasts and investment themes that are used to guide our portfolio managers.
