Asian economies have grown rapidly in recent years, driven by exports to developed countries and fixed capital investment. Although the region was not spared from the global downturn, Asia has pulled out of the depression at impressive rates, aided by prompt and forceful government policies.
As the Asian economies further transition towards more domestically driven growth, we believe the opportunities and long-term growth prospects here are unrivalled. We also believe the best way to tap into this growth story is through fundamental bottom-up stock-picking.

The Singapore-based Asia Pacific equity team oversees these successful equity products. Based in the region from 1992, the team has been a pioneer, championing a stock selection investment style that pays little attention to short-term trends and is benchmark-aware but not benchmark-driven.
Managers do their own research. No stock is ever bought without a meeting first with management. The team adheres to tight investment disciplines and is naturally contrarian, as well as long-term in focus. The team has expanded across the region, with investment offices now in Sydney, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Tokyo and Kuala Lumpur.
