Abdul Jalil is Chief Executive Officer at Aberdeen Islamic Asset Management, based in Kuala Lumpur. Jalil joined Aberdeen in 2005 shortly after the opening of the Kuala Lumpur office and has been covering regional equities with Aberdeen since. Jalil was involved in the establishment of Aberdeen Islamic Asset Management in 2009 and is responsible for shariah compliant mandates as well as to grow the firm's regional shariah business.

Jalil graduated with a BSc (Hons) degree in Accounting & Finance from the London School of Economics in 2003. Upon graduation, Jalil worked as an Investment Analyst with Malaysia's first real estate investment trust, Axis REIT where he was responsible for identifying & conducting due diligence on property acquisitions.
